DevOps Experience 2021 – The Danger Zone: Avoid Being Too SAFe by Embracing Value Streams
October 27 - October 28
ConnectALL is proud to be a sponsor and a part of one of the largest DevOps conferences in the world. DevOps Experience 2021, organized by MediaOps, is on October 27-28 with a theme called The Roaring Twenties. As we look forward to all of the great things digital transformation enables, we also have to be ready to tackle tough problems like global warming, Cybersecurity threats, future pandemics, diversity and more.
DevOps can be a powerful force for change in all of this. In its 4th year, this year’s DevOps Experience will explore how DevOps will be a major factor in today’s Roaring 20’s.Sessions will be geared toward practitioners, managers and C-level executives, and led by industry thought leaders and doers in the DevOps, DevSecOps, and Cloud Native world.
Title: How I Avoided Being Too SAFe by Flying into the Danger Zone with Value Streams and OKRs
Speaker: Eric Robertson, SVP Strategic Advisor
SAFe is something that we in the Agile & DevOps space are very familiar with. It is the most popular agile framework for a reason: it enables us to put into structured action the agile principles we all know and love. You might even say that it’s the most common, “safest” way to ease into Agile. Working with SAFe is a great start to scaling Agile & DevOps practices, but I have learned from recent experiences that there could be many approaches that allow organizations to continuously learn and experiment to find what works best for it and its customers.
So, should we completely abandon SAFe? I don’t think so. However, I will attempt to showcase how Lean Enterprises adopting a value-driven hypothesis with a combination of iterative, and experimental approaches, including key elements of SAFe, can deliver impact outcomes and experiences that drive value for all stakeholders.
So, let’s leave behind the tranquility of the SAFe you once knew, and let’s fly together into the danger zone!
